“Painting with Light”
The first known photographer to use this technique was Man Ray in his series “Space Writing” He was born in 1890. This is often done today with a higher end camera and a moving light source. This however is not the only way to do this. The same thing can be done by moving the camera with a stationary light source. Wikipedia has a great example of moving the camera which can be found here. This doesn’t mean you have to even move, sometimes it just means the subject was painted in light. There are many ways to interpret this. Some examples. GOOGLED, GOOGLED2 and 20 Amazing. Enjoy and don’t let it overwhelm you, a flashlight and a subject would work. Just take your time you have a week.
