Last week went by fast and before I knew it I had to face facts and take a face photo. Speeding it along here are last weeks face photos.

Next week will be a fast paced fast photo shot. The fast pace of the day brought Chris over early. I dusted off the theme machine powered it up then clamped it down to slow it down. The machine insisted it was still:
“Fast”
And is next weeks theme. If you do an image search you notice that most photos labeled fast are really speed photography or have something in them that goes fast. I consulted the photography scrolls and there seems to be nothing about the meaning of fast, as a theme, in photography. There was a small subscript about how it could be related to taking photos fast in a candid way. If that is the case then any sports or paparazzi type photographer is a “fast” photographer. Long live Ron Galella the pioneer of paparazzo? OK… I suggest “fast” as a theme be interpreted any way you want to. If you see fast in it then it is fast. Just take the photos fast because you only have a week.

Last week was a hopeful one full of hope. It seems everybody was looking for hope especially Chris whose hope didn’t seem to get answered. Here are last weeks hope photos.

This week started off with a grind to a halt slowing my entire schedule down. I managed to slowly catch up and with Chris’s help fire up the random theme generator. Looking at the theme generator with its’ missing tickertape printer I realized I should face facts. I don’t think the tickertape printer will ever be repaired. I mean face it, it feels like the theme generator is missing its’ face without it. I’ll just have to get used to the new face so I pressed the button. If you haven’t figured it out next weeks theme is:
“Face”
When face is mentioned in photography it usually means a photo of a person’s face but not their portrait. Check out this image search. Face can easily be interpreted many ways, check out the dictionary meaning. Take your easily interpreted theme and start taking photos and if you can’t find a face to photograph, take a picture of a mirror you are looking it.

Chris is back and recovered from his experience of seeing the Cyclones stomped on by the Hawks. We decided to just let the machine run quietly and it responded with some:
“Hope”
Hope is the belief in a positive outcome and the Cyclones could use some. “There is always hope.” I’m not sure this helps a great deal but here is an image search. Next weeks theme of hope should give plenty of creatively to the photographer. Or, maybe you just know somebody named Hope. Get out there and start the hope photography. I’ll hope for many hope photos.

Quick run of the machine produced a most interesting lighting. Then I noticed the theme was all about:
“Light Placement”
There isn’t a whole lot to say about light placement. All photos have a light source. This theme being about light placement should really highlight that fact. Think of a more dramatic light placement like off to one side only or an unusual angle. A quick image search to show side lighting. As always if you submit it I will put it up and how you interpret the theme is up to you. Just remember to submit it Monday before noon.
